Hey chums.

I miss teaching you guys but i am having a great holiday surfing. SURFing the Internet lah, whatcha thinking?Haha. Anyways, i am looking forward to seeing u guys soon when i have scheduled all my classes well. Potentially, my CCK girl might need me as a governess. But we'll see about that cos that will mean i have to devote at least 4 hours an evening. I really feel proud of my CCK girl. She went from an under U grade in Maths and Science for SA1 to good passes for Prelim! Imagine that! Because of this, her parents are willing to take bullets for me, especially with the FDM saga- they also supported me throughout that nasty ordeal, cos they know my abilities and the great deal of effort i put in to help my students out, be they weak or intelligent.

A special mention to 3 students, GYM, CQR and YJY for being there when i needed them, particularly GYM for being the best bestie i could ever hope for. You guys should hope for the best for the upcoming release of PSLE results.

I discovered that the FDM experience really affected my confidence as a tutor. I found myself questioning my own capabilities as i struggled to come to terms with the sudden loss of income and detachment from the personal input of my work. I had really hoped to go far with AMI, the FDMs know this, yet strangely they decided to let me go.

Sadness led to anger then despair. No income meant my family had to struggle too. It is not easy to find another job that held as much satisfaction as AMI (well during the early periods at least). So i settled on concentrating on my existing private students, making sure they do well in their exams.

Offers come from people who know i have vast experience and knowledge, to open a tuition centre. I have to consider a lot of financial concerns as well as existing management knowledge. Eventually i turned them down, because i do not want to be tied down into producing a business, my children are still too young.

Now, currently, i enjoy my life freelancing, i can care for my kids as well as get a substantial income from mere hours in the evening. FDMs, eat your hearts out!
